rjbowlin Posted February 25, 2004 Posted February 25, 2004 In regards to the big bang: Instead of an explosion which originates from a superdense point of space, could it be possible that two (or more) dense matters collided at super speed, thereby causing the explosion, and explaining the excess energy in space? Would this concept negate the need for a "dark energy"? Also could it be possible that the increased accelleration of the universe could be explained as a collective of matter which has not yet reached its peak velocity after an explosion, and not a factor of "dark energy"?
