bascule Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Ben Stein documents what he considers to be academic suppression of intelligent design proponents in a new movie: http://www.expelledthemovie.com/playground.php Check out Big Science Academy, where he sarcastically lampoons prevailing scientific opinion: http://www.expelledthemovie.com/bigscienceacademy.php He's tossing Einstein and Galileo into those expelled from "Big Science Academy" for good measure: http://www.expelledthemovie.com/bigscienceacademy_expelled.php
ydoaPs Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Oh, FSM, more "oh, we're so persecuted" bollocks:doh:
the tree Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 We are hearing the final hurrah from the dwindling followers of a redundant myth. Creationism* appears to be getting louder but really it's just a very slow bang that it is going out with. One more movie isn't a serious threat. *I'm trying to stop saying ID, it implies that they actually are different things.

One more movie isn't a serious threat. *I'm trying to stop saying ID, it implies that they actually are different things. I'm not so sure about that. Creationism commands the loyalty of quite a few more hundreds of millions of people than I'd like to think about at least.
ecoli Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Oh Ben Stein... I used to like that guy. What is an intellectual-type Jewish guy supporting intelligent design? I thought it was just ignorant southern protestants.
iNow Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.
CDarwin Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 I just thought I'd share: Irony EDIT: If it will work. Imageshack is blocked on this computer.
Phi for All Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 The documentary is like the permanent Google ad at the top for this thread. Maybe we should change the name to Ken Stern and see if it goes away.
