New near-planet found.

2002 LM60 was identified orbiting within the Kuiper belt.

 

It's about half the size of Pluto and has been dubbed Quaoar for the moment.

Another large body has been found - this one is 3000 billion miles from the sun and can only be detected because its immense gravity deflects cometary matter from the belts.

I think so, but it depends if astronomers count it as a planet as there is some debate about it. It is called Sedna now.

I should say "classify," then.

I bet all the ones out there are the answers to "Why are the outer planets' orbits perturbed like that?" I bet all the nuts out there will say, "Oh no! They will all come and destroy earth!" or something to that effect.
