You don't need a degree to work in the nuclear field.

 

Does anyone convince me to take nuclear physics as a major, and If yes what is the future of this major and what kind of work it involves?

 

IIRC, a lot of contracts were recently written for power plants, so there is a good future. I guess that's good for me if I decide to go 6-and-out.

Actually, I was thinking of myself and the majority of my co-workers.

 

My experience has been that the design and manufacturing requires degrees and the power plants don't. Is that consistent with what you've seen?
