ydoaPs Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Aren't the tags disabled in some parts of SFN?
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted January 23, 2008 Author Posted January 23, 2008 Yes, but you still can't use img to show attached images.
Phi for All Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 http://www.scienceforums.net/forum/memberlist.php, just above the Avatar column.Where's button for that members list, Cap'n?
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted January 24, 2008 Author Posted January 24, 2008 There isn't one. Would you prefer we had one somewhere?
Daecon Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 What's my least favorite bit of SFN? It's not edible.
iNow Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 There isn't one. Would you prefer we had one somewhere? It might be useful as a quicklink, or even just a url on the advanced search window somewhere.
gcol Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Should there be a "trousers" button for all member searches?
Phi for All Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Should there be a "trousers" button for all member searches?Oooooooooh, that's good! Reminds me of a parody of Johnny Cash's I Walk the Line: I keep my pants up with a piece of twine, I keep my arms quite open all the time, I keep myself quite willing all the time. Because your mine, please pull the twine!
gcol Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 ....... Or perhaps nowadays all hidden in a zip file.....
thedarkshade Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 It's not edible. Sure it is! Science tastes well enough I can say! Oh, and yeah, I get money by lecturing things I learn here>!(high school student)! I told you all I'm naughty!
Phi for All Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Oh, and yeah, I get money by lecturing things I learn here>!(high school student)! The Staff gets a 20% cut on all knowledge sold. Just send it to me and I'll make sure the others get their share.
YT2095 Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Except for me, I know Everything and only Act dumb sometimes I find that it aids others maintain their superiority complex.
Phi for All Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 I find that it aids others maintain their superiority complex. When I mentioned "the overhead of superiority complex maintenance" I didn't mean "over YOUR head". I just meant that my complex is vast and costs a lot to keep it going. Probably because it's so superior.
JHAQ Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Being overwhelmed by the ( sometimes ) huge number of replies to questions .
Klaynos Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 The fact that everyone is smarter than me Don't be fooled, hang around for a while and you'll soon see it's not true!
Royston Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 What do you not like about SFN...5 pages and 93 replies, ouch
CrazCo Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Lol, yea, I plan on staying here, but I feel bad because I am always asking questions but when I got to a thread where someone else wants help I am unable to answer their question on account of my lack of knowledge. Ahh Well
Mr Skeptic Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 The fact that everyone is smarter than me Not really. Read it and weep.
iNow Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Does anyone care that the Cap'n was asking about site functionality?
Ozone Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 First, thanks for hosting the site. The only problem that I encounter (ad nauseum) is the very short time-out period (which Chemkid alluded to on the first page of this thread). I will usually get an idea, start a response, and then need to do some research (so that "pulling it out of my ass" is not so painful). Then, I will finish the post only to find that I am no longer logged in. It is possible to accidentally hose your post this way. Thanks again, O3
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 Do you check the "Remember Me" box when you log in? That should fix the problem. iNow: functionality, policy and the atmosphere in general, really.
thedarkshade Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 The Staff gets a 20% cut on all knowledge sold. Just send it to me and I'll make sure the others get their share. I've thought of that you know, but I think my pockets keeps them warm enough! And I feel better too:D:D:D! Being overwhelmed by the ( sometimes ) huge number of replies to questions . I'd take that a positive element!
