Seems like a combination of Buckaroo Bonzai and the Beach Boys (specifically, Sloop John B.)

Forever is...

"the worst trip, I've ever been on..."

To the original question, the only accurate answer is self-referential. Forever equals forever.

Really? I was under the impression that infinite series, or other things that do run on forever, actually do lead to finite solutions . For example, 1/Infinity = zero :D.

As I understand it (which can easily be called into question) it ([math] \frac{1}{\infty}[/math]) is actually [math]\rightarrow 0[/math], not zero itself.

Let's not argue the gaps. ;) We're both right, so far as a discussion on the meaning of forever can go. :)

Anything times infinity equals to infinity. Infinity never start nor end. "Forever" is a certain space of time (let's say a second) times infinity, meaning it has no beginning and no end. As time both started and eventually will end, there is no forever. That's my theory.

Here is a penny for Buckaroo....but you owe me a dollar for throwing in the Beach Boys......

Quote:

"--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lord John Whorfin: Barney, I'm going home... with my overthruster.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lord John Whorfin: Home... home is where you wear your hat... I feel so breakup, I wanna go home.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lord John Whorfin: [shouting into a radio microphone] BANZAI! I'LL-A SEE YOU IN-A HELL!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Casper Lindley: She can't be serious, can she? Vaporize the whole damn planet?

Buckaroo Banzai: You wanna roll all those dice, Casper?

Casper Lindley: Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no. Not me, man, not me.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[after crashing through the wall of a factory]

Lectroid: We are not in the Eighth dimension, we are over New Jersey. Hope is not lost.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yoyodyne intercom announcement: The only joy is the joy of duty. Work... work... work.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Scooter Lindley: [pointing an assault rifle at McKinley] Get away from that car or I'll drink your blood!"

Tell me guys, how long do you think forever is? Or what it feels like? Or something...

The only way I can think of forever is outside of time. No time means no beginning, ending or present. What would it feel like? You can only feel the present, so forever would feel like that.

I've got it!

Forever is when we will finally get the promised sequel to "Buckaroo Banzai Across the Eighth Dimension"......."Buckaroo Banzai Against The World Crime League"

When your partner tells you that they will be with you "forever", then "forever" is defined as 6 months...or at least til someone more attractive appears.
