Hello, I’ am a student attending high school in Fullerton, California. For my English class we are doing a research project on controversial topics. For my topic I choose: Benefits of genetic engineering. I was wondering if I can interview you over email (victotam123@yahoo.com)by having you answer as much of the following questions as you can

(If you would like to remain anonymous, please feel free to tell me in the closing of the email):

Do you think genetic engineering is beneficial to mankind? Why or why not?

2A) Did you have or know anyone that has had any involvement in theses findings?

2a) Could you talk about it?

Medicine:

1) Is genetic engineering really making the production of medicine cheaper?

1A) Is this 100% beneficial?

1B) Is there any downside to this?

2) Do you have any personal experience with using genetic engineering to help pharmaceutical research?

2A) Could you talk about what you did or are doing?

3) Do you know of any “bad” medicine made from genetic engineering?

Crops/Livestock

1) Is genetically engineered crops like fruits and vegetables safe?

1A) Have there been any side effects?

1B) Any examples of monumental or exceptional success made in this field of research you would like to mention?

2) Any personal experiences with using genetic engineering on crops?

2A) Could you talk about what you did or are doing?

3) Is creating a “super cow” or “super plant” that can withstand harsh climates, viruses, or pest beneficial?

3A) Examples how it is or is not beneficial?

3B) Is this too much “Playing as God”?

Is there anything you would like to add, or think I should mention? Please feel free to add suggestions or answer a question I did not include.
