sanky1408 Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 I read that they are just like glow bulb electrical testers which requires a human touch to let us know the presence of electricity. So i started wondering if there is any way we can simulate the effect without a human touch, i mean say from a distance like a remote. Is that possible with a capacitance circuit in elevator?
aqualunar Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 that would be realy cool. so that from down the hall you could activate the elevator and not have to wait as long. ill see if there is something on it somewhere. but you should try inventing it.
Mr Skeptic Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Unfortunately, even if this were economically feasible, it could have significant privacy concerns if it could detect people from far enough away to activate.
YT2095 Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 perhaps with a grounded super-soaker you could do it, but you`d have to make certain the water stream didn`t break up into droplets and remain as a solid unbroken connection.
