A Fool Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 Anyone know of a par excellence text on Linear algebra that a physics student could get?
ajb Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 I don't really know if I am honest. Most book called something like "mathematical methods of physics" contain most of the linear algebra usually needed. Now and again more abstract notions from abstract algebra are needed, but I tend to just use Wiki as a starting place. One of the best books for an introduction to mathematical physics is Hassani. It contains a little bit about almost all the main tools is mathematical physics.
thedarkshade Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 A friend of mine recommended me this and he said it's amazing. I haven't had time to read it yet though, but take a look at it. It's an automatic download link! I hope it'll be useful to you! Cheers, Shade
