The molecules themselves are a result of the wave i thought, so how can something that is created from the wave also be that which causes the wave?

What you seem to mention is dualism, how a particle is at the same time a wave. But in the case of mechanical waves, a wave represent the spread of shakes in an elastic medium, a medium that allows these waves to be spread.
