KS42 Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 Hello. This is my first post...Joined a couple of days ago. I have been exploring 2 images taken by the Mars Express spacecraft and would like to share my findings. I have created a website containing over 90 images (Crops). Thanks. My website: http://www.marsesa.9f.com/slide_show.html Links to the original images: http://www.esa.int/esa-mmg/mmg.pl?b=b&keyword=cydonia&single=y&start=4 http://www.esa.int/esa-mmg/mmg.pl?b=b&keyword=cydonia&single=y&start=10
iNow Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 KS42, What are those findings you referenced? Be specific. Right now, all I can see is that you are promoting your website, and I'm confident that is not the case. What findings?
KS42 Posted March 27, 2008 Author Posted March 27, 2008 Hello. A sample of some images on my website. Study carefully. Remember, These images are directly from the ESA/Mars Express website. All I did was to enlarge them 1.5X to 2.0X, seperate colors, adjust contrast, and some filtering...
Klaynos Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 I've attached a zoomed in image of a central section from one of the images. This level of pixel reproduction could not have been done unless the image had been mirrored around a central axis.
insane_alien Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 its quite obvious 2 of the images are mirrored. there may be other manipulations as well but i doubt it fromthe simplicity of the the mirroring.

Indeed, I just thought it should be highlighted as: Study carefully. Remember, These images are directly fromthe ESA/Mars Express website. qwe)k Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 The forth image is symmetrical, you said you haven't done anything to it? looks like the low definition image of the mars face...
KS42 Posted March 27, 2008 Author Posted March 27, 2008 Hello. Yes, This is the so called face. The Face is designed to be mirrored.... Another look of the face....
insane_alien Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 i must confess i do not see the significance of these images either.
qwe)k Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 Hello. Yes, This is the so called face. The Face is designed to bemirrored.... Another look of the face.... If its mirrored then what's the significance?!!!! Thats just flipping a picture round!
KS42 Posted March 28, 2008 Author Posted March 28, 2008 Hello. The face rotated 90 deg CCW. The face is not a natural feature. It is a designed and built structure.
Klaynos Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Hello. The face rotated 90 deg CCW. The face is not a natural feature. It is a designed and built structure. Prove it. Oh you can't! Occam's razor applies here, it's natural.
insane_alien Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Italy looks like a boot. Scotland looks like a witch with a crooked hat. The moon looks like it has a face on it. are these built structures? no. they are not. The human mind seeks patterns, when it looks at a random data set it will find patterns whether they exist or not. i'm sure you must have seen something similar.a face in the grains of wood something like that. why would a mountain on another plane be special? it isn't even a mountain that looks like a face. it is a mountain that looks like a face when the sun strikes it in the right way. that is all. it is evidence of geologic activity and erosive fores on mars. thats about it.
qwe)k Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 So whats the point? , don't see how fliping a structure on mars 4 times is significant at all, and as insane_alien says the human mind seeks paterns.

Phi for All Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 The Face is designed to bemirrored.... The face is not a natural feature. It is a designed andbuilt structure. This is what we can't let you get away with. Why do you feel it's not a natural feature, because it *looks* designed? You are drawing a conclusion with which no scientist would feel comfortable, and stating it as fact. Tell us why you think the face was designed. No Arguments from Incredulity ("I can't believe you can't see it!") or circular logic ("It looks man-made, therefore it must be man-made") allowed.
DrP Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 I must admit that I like the pictures. However, when I stare lathargically into my mates beer and coke stained carpet, I see faces/images all the time! As it has been said already - the human brain looks for these sorts of patterns in anything.

KS42 Posted March 28, 2008 Author Posted March 28, 2008 Hello. An equilateral triangle with 900 foot sides...........
insane_alien Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Hello. An equilateral triangle with 900 foot sides........... ummm,,, where?
Phi for All Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 ummm,,, where?A tiny bit south of center. Seen from this distance, whatever it is doesn't have to be man made. It just fits a pattern you, KS42, associate with symmetry and you are leaping to the conclusion that that kind of symmetry doesn't happen in nature. I assure you it does.
insane_alien Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 oh yeah. doesn't look equilateral though. and still doesn't mean it was man made.
