insane_alien Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 two strips of different metals,(say zinc and iron) put them in an electrolyte(iron chloride) and hey presto you have a cell, link a few up an you have a battery.
antimatter Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 dont even know what that is. lol i just need to make a simple working battery and show it work to the class. It's not incredibly difficult to aquire. Search around, I'm sure some store near you may have some.
zeig Posted April 3, 2008 Author Posted April 3, 2008 kay i think im gonna do a buncha papatoes to power a hair dryer fan, how many volts is one tater lol? i know a 9V can power the fan but how many amps do i need?
Mr Skeptic Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 About 100 of them for the voltage, more if you want enough amps to power a hair dryer. I'd suggest a light bulb or an LED.
