my chem teacher wasnts us to make batterys for projects but he doesn't want all patatoe and lime batterys. i was wondering if anyone on here knew of an interesting way to make a home made battery with the exceptions of things my teacher can aquire for the project.

dont even know what that is. lol i just need to make a simple working battery and show it work to the class.

two strips of different metals,(say zinc and iron) put them in an electrolyte(iron chloride) and hey presto you have a cell, link a few up an you have a battery.

It's not incredibly difficult to aquire.

Search around, I'm sure some store near you may have some.

kay i think im gonna do a buncha papatoes to power a hair dryer fan, how many volts is one tater lol? i know a 9V can power the fan but how many amps do i need?
