I like this. Google is essentially inviting innovation and cool projects to spring up. It's a cool system.

 

Of course, they may just use this to find cool projects to buy off of people.

Good point. It could have a EULA like the one Adobe recently tried to pawn off on Photoshop Express users, where they basically get ownership of everything you do there.

Google gets their pick of apps already built on their infrastructure which are also locked in to the Google infrastructure? Awesome! It's win-win for Google.

 

On the plus side of users of the platform, hopefully Google sees enough value in promoting development on their platform that they will price the thing ludicrously cheap.
