PauloChem Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 I want to manufacture NaOh from scratch with electrolysis. I need to go to sleep been reading a really good book about chemistry. So if you have idea please post. I will join the discussion when I get a good night sleep.
recursive Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Well, the good old brine solution will do just that... So if saltwater counts as from scratch, then that's all you really need to know! There's also a way to make lye from birch ash, limestone and water, but you probably want electrolysis... Then again, there is a search forum button...
PauloChem Posted April 18, 2008 Author Posted April 18, 2008 Then again I used the search button on topics NaOh. Please post info related to topic I don't need general info like there is there could. When I post I make it count . Oh and thanks for the info about brine water.
JayLechner Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 If you want NaOH why not just buy Draino, that is NaOH.
