TimbaLanD Posted May 1, 2008 Share Posted May 1, 2008 Anyone know the conversion from W/m2 to kcal/hr-m2 ? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
timo Posted May 1, 2008 Share Posted May 1, 2008 Unlikely that someone know that off their head but I see no problem converting it: 1 = 3600 s / 1 h 1 = x kcal / 1 J (look up the number) 1 = 1 J / 1 Ws => 1 W/m² = 1*1*1*1 W/m² = 1 W/m² *3600 s/h * x kcal/J * 1 J/Ws = 3600x kcal/hm². thedarkshade Posted May 2, 2008 Share Posted May 2, 2008 And it's 4.18 Joule per calorie If you are referring to the Cal (capitalized, food calorie), that equals 4182J. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
