Vladimir_h Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Ok, so for this question, I have created an image: So, the only problem I have encountered is the fuel cell; more specifically, how do I get/make one. This is not supposed to power a car by the way, just charge a cell phone, or power an alarm clock. Something of that nature.... Thanks, Vlad
insane_alien Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 well, for one, using the battery to charge the phone directly would be a much better option. the electrolysis and fuel cell are just going to be wasting energy. so much so that you probably wouldn't be able to charge a cell phone with that setup.
thedarkshade Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Well this image seems a long, complicated and not efficient way to charge a phone or whatever. As for charging it directly with the battery, wouldn't the different voltage be a problem? You could use a transformer though.
insane_alien Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 or a resistor, it'd still be more efficient than that monstrosity.
thedarkshade Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 or a resistor, it'd still be more efficient than that monstrosity. Yes that would do just fine. The cell battery is 3.7V I assume?
Vladimir_h Posted May 8, 2008 Author Posted May 8, 2008 Ya, i know it would be better to use a battery directly, but i need experience with fuel cells, and/or electrolysis. So, back to the fuel cell anyone?
