Does anyone know what would be the best chemical to use to remover cooked peanut oil from kitchen exahust vents. I have herd that a caustic mix of sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide will work but im no chemist. Can anyone help? Thanks!

they will work yes (use one or the other), but keep it well away from any aluminium parts or structure, as well as eyes and skin...
