I write poetry as well. Though I'm not sure what sort of contest you mean (slam?), you can post your stuff here and have it rated and even compete with it.

I also write poetry, but in Portuguese... I've write just thisone in English. I don't think you'll think it good since my English vocabulary is poor...

Belated apologies for not getting back here after somany months. Life is busy even in retirement. I entered contests for 20 years. I won (a) a certificate and (b) an offer to put my poem in a book(for which I had to pay). Then I gave up the idea of contests as "not for me."-Ron
