End of the world 2012?

Yeah, so if the poles are shifting gradually and December 21st, 2012 will simply be when they are completely reversed then do all these people talking about worldwide natural disasters (more than are currently happening anyway) really have any legitimate concern? My assumption is "no, they don't".

As far as we know, it will be more of an inconvenience than anything else. Compasses pointing south, etc. Also possibly disruption to radio and satellite communications. It's probably nothing we won't be able to deal with.
