fafalone Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 See the 'user reputatation' thread in the announcements forum.
aommaster Posted March 30, 2004 Author Posted March 30, 2004 I mean, what use is it for a member, other than giving him more influence over other points?
blike Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 A couple of things really: Eventually we may employ a filter that people can activate to filter out posts from "bad" posters if they so choose. You have more influence over other posters and whether or not they will be seen (when the filter is on). Also access to things like the arcade, shop, and things of that nature. Special privilidges and other things will also come with reputation points.
blike Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 No problem. If you feel you have unfairly received negative reputation, just PM one of us and we'll take care of it. 1
aommaster Posted March 30, 2004 Author Posted March 30, 2004 Its ok. Thanx! the ony one negative that i have is the one on 'Do strings have mass'. I didn't know the started was aling about the string theory
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 Also access to things like the arcade, shop, and things of that nature. Special privilidges and other things will also come with reputation points. ARCADE?????? Where? Is that why some of you are "tetris champions"? 1
YT2095 Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 open yer eyes and take a peek at the top bar on your page and look for "Arcade" 8))
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 And how can I lose 23 reputation in one shot?
YT2095 Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 how? easy I guess, perhaps your post aren`t up to snuff or maybe you`ve upset someone?
Dave Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 Dave stole my chopper hi score, curse him. buahahahaha On a sidenote, just got another high score. w00t
blike Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 And how can I lose 23 reputation in one shot? Who dun it?
YT2095 Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 actualy, it`s good question, how can you lose 23 points in one shot??? other than it being a rather perculiar amount to lose, is it even selectable?
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 Who dun it? Don't know, it's in the thread started by Mossoi and about not being able to distiguish the reputation box thingy. I said something about horizontal lights. That's were it was taken off from! Who could take off 23 in one shot?
Sayonara Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 23 seems a bit high seeing as reputations seem to change based on a mere few posts.
aommaster Posted March 31, 2004 Author Posted March 31, 2004 maybe someone with a GIGANTIC influence could have done this. Or, maybe people ganging up against u.
-Demosthenes- Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 How can you tell who gave you the review, and how can you tell for which post it is. And what about people that give you bad ones because they don't agree with you?
fafalone Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 When me or blike give rep points, it counts for 5.
-Demosthenes- Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 "-demosthenes- can only hope to improve." Ouch.
iglak Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 actually, i have a few questions how can we find out how many points we have? how can we find out where we lost/gained points? i guess that's it...
aommaster Posted April 1, 2004 Author Posted April 1, 2004 Well, check in ur user CP. At the bottom, there will be a section saying 'latest reputation received'. Check there. A red means - points. A green means + points. In the title area, it will tell u 'x points total' . that is the total number of points u have got!
Sayonara Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 How can you tell who gave you the review' date=' and how can you tell for which post it is.And what about people that give you bad ones because they don't agree with you?[/quote'] Mods can tell because we are leet. So when you give me negative reputation for posting "derogatory remarks" in the Gay Marriage Ban in Constitution thread, which is (a) not true, and (b) fkin hilarious considering your stance, I tend to notice.
iglak Posted April 2, 2004 Posted April 2, 2004 Well, check in ur user CP. At the bottom, there will be a section saying 'latest reputation received'. Check there. A red means - points. A green means + points. In the title area, it will tell u 'x points total' . that is the total number of points u have got! it says nothing... there isn't a "latest reputation recieved" to click does that mean i have no reputation points? except when i click the add reputation points button on my post it says i have 10 points, is that default?
