Scientists bad for the environment?

There's definitely something compelling about the way this guy looks at things. I especially liked the idea of riding as a passenger on a cargo hauler across the ocean. Not exactly luxury travel, but perhaps a very cool experience.

The challenge is when you have to be in Dallas in the morning, Atlanta at lunchtime, and San Francisco by evening... Not exactly able to do that with a train. I'm all for lowing our environmental impact, and I know how challenging it can be, but sometimes there's a very real need to do more than "ride the train instead."

I like this scientists ideas and actions. It's just that it won't work for me, so I get frustrated. I'd love to be able to do my job without burning a bunch of jet fuel, but nobody's yet invented teleportation.
