Hey guys,

I'm usually against supplements. From what i could check through (limited) research, most of what I checked were either unnecessary or actually bad for you.

However, I've been having slight digestion problems (..err) lately, and a friend of mine suggested I use a natural Fiber Supplement.

It's called: Benefiber.

I tried to research it online (I don't just 'take stuff' without check, or medical advice, and some of those supplements, i've heard, need doctor's review, so I am skeptical) -- but i couldnt' find anything BAD with it. Only neutral or good reviews.

So... does anyone know anything about it? Is it okay to take a Fiber supplement, considering the fact my diet isn't very good on that aspect (I'm a full-time employee while studying a degree in college... i'm trying, but I have very bad eating times that i am having troubles changing).

Anyone?

Thankyouuu

:( no help? anyone?

I don't want to take something that's bad for me... and yet, if this can help, it's good..

<sobs> help!

er...There are several types of Benefiber, so in my free time I'm doing so more research for you.

Do you know the one she's recommending? If not, I'll just look through and I'll find which one seems good to take. (or rather, not good, but beneficial).

So far it seems to be alright, and I think one of my relatives takes it, so I'll check it out with them.

EDIT:

I don't know if you've seen this site, but it has some information on the different types.

Well, the best way to get fiber is of course to eat stuff that has it, which are usually healthy foods themselves. Taking fiber on its own is almost like cheating. I don't actually know whether taking a fiber supplement is healthy pr not, but my grandma takes some when she has trouble going to the bathroom, and it helps her with that aspect at least. In any case, I doubt it would hurt, especially if you don't come to depend on it.
