How does one enter an article to a Science magazine?

For example, if I figured out some amazing theory that describes something important or something big etc, how can I get it published to a magazine? Where do you post it for them to peer review it?

This is just a hypothetical question lol

Your average science magazine won't do peer review. You'll have to look for a journal (like Nature) that covers whatever field it is your work is in, and submit it to them. Procedures vary. The website of the journals will probably tell you.

You could always try a UK tabloid newspaper, or specifically The Daily Mail, who's collective staff IQ is about 15...they'll publish any unsubstantiated crap. (Not saying your stuff would be crap DividebyZero.)

But, if you really do have something, (I know this is a hypothetical question) then go through the correct channels i.e peer review.

The mail will only be interested if they can put a spin on it to demonise at least one group of people, which group doesn't really matter they hate everyone...

And yeah find a peer review journal that covers what you want, depending on the field some are more respected than others, Nature and Science are two of the best in general though.

Journals have their submission procedures in the journal and probably online.

Be prepared to be rejected. Most new ideas are wrong.

I've looked around Nature and Science for directions on how to submit a scientific research paper but I couldn't find any page regarding that info. Maybe they only have the directions on the physical magazines per se.
