matter Posted April 3, 2004 Posted April 3, 2004 all I can afford to buy is a new Honda. i'm going to get laughed at. would a cute chick or a vanity license plate make me cooler?
blike Posted April 3, 2004 Posted April 3, 2004 exactly. any car beats walking. besides, theres nothing to laugh about a new honda..
Dave Posted April 4, 2004 Posted April 4, 2004 You're getting a new car. I'm getting an old 1996 fiesta. Enough said.
Crash Posted April 4, 2004 Posted April 4, 2004 its a civic though. :/ 2004 civic coupe. lmao a civic lol nah j/k, you cant afford a serious car like fafs yet, but hey least youll save in speeding tickets.......
NSX Posted April 5, 2004 Posted April 5, 2004 heh It's a good car, it'll last you a while. Which trim are you getting?
Dave Posted April 5, 2004 Posted April 5, 2004 Good for what... it's slow, ugly, asian... It's a car. This is better than no car at all.
matter Posted April 6, 2004 Author Posted April 6, 2004 faf... you buy your car used? new? you financed it yourself?
fafalone Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 used... perfect condition with <20k miles from a ford dealership with warranty remaining... but i only had to pay $1500 of the $16500 cost
matter Posted April 6, 2004 Author Posted April 6, 2004 well I cant really afford anything like that so i have to go with the civic I guess... unless I can find something else.
NSX Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 Good for what... it's slow, ugly, asian... reliable, fuel efficient, good bang-for-buck well I cant really afford anything like that so i have to go with the civic I guess... unless I can find something else. Also in that price range are the Mitsubishi Lancer, Toyota Corolla, Nissan Sentra, Mazda 3, Chevrolet Cavalier, Ford Focus, and that's about all I can think for now would a cute chick or a vanity license plate make me cooler? lol I dontk now, but maybe you can get Faf's empty nitrous tank and pretend its yours.
fafalone Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 Sometimes a used car is nicer and all around better than a new car... I could have had a brand new V6 mustang, but opted to go with a used GT instead... exact same price.
matter Posted April 7, 2004 Author Posted April 7, 2004 I could afford a new mustang if i put down like 9 thousand. But then I would be depressed because my bank account would practically be wiped out.
NSX Posted April 8, 2004 Posted April 8, 2004 I could afford a new mustang if i put down like 9 thousand. But then I would be depressed because my bank account would practically be wiped out. hehe If you want the recent models, it'll cost ~$35 000 CAN + But for the older models, I've seen some $10 000 CAN or less
Crash Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 I thought the US of A had the cheapest cars in the near milky way......seems to be false
Dave Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 Can't form a conclusion after reading about the prices of a couple of cars in a forum
Crash Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 i reached my conclusion after looking at the price range of firstly, a new honda civic. browsed around the ford site, and reading a used car magizine (at the dentists).....Viper Gt were only ~21,000 US here they go for ~80,000 NZ for both second hand
Dave Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 I dunno. I know the US has very, very low petrol prices (compared to us anyway).
Crash Posted April 11, 2004 Posted April 11, 2004 We pay ~1.20 a litre for unleaded whats the US price?
matter Posted April 11, 2004 Author Posted April 11, 2004 fafalone: how much do you pay for insurance in your state?
