smiles Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 Hi, I read this sentence but don't understand the meaning of the word "lineup", do you know what is it ? "Olympus stereo zoom microscopes: higher performance in a wider lineup"
Royston Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 I think it means the range of microscopes they have available. I don't recall the term 'lineup' with regards to optics.
swansont Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 Hi, I read this sentence but don't understand the meaning of the word "lineup", do you know what is it ?"Olympus stereo zoom microscopes: higher performance in a wider lineup" "More models from which to choose" would be my guess. A "lineup" here is a sports metaphor, for the players participating in the activity, so a wider lineup means they have more products than they used to.
smiles Posted July 11, 2008 Author Posted July 11, 2008 Hi! could you tell me the meaning of line-up in photography ? Thanks !!!
DrP Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 It means their product range. Type "Line up in photography" into google and see what it comes up with. All the hits I could be bothered to read were going on about their line up of cameras for the new season. i.e. their new product ranges.
