hermanntrude Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 some (or none) of you may have been wondering where i've been well here's some photos
Royston Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 Arizona's an odd place, it was baking heat when we went...did you find any lizards ?
Royston Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 arizona? nope. No lizards here I guess Snowy Lizards are hard to spot North or South pole, the closest I've got to those conditions was South Chile and the Alps...we're you doing research of any sort ?
hermanntrude Posted July 13, 2008 Author Posted July 13, 2008 neither pole, nope. Actually at a lower latitude than you approximately 49°40'N 55°15'W
shanpeter Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 (edited) Nice Images! Thanks for giving it, May I know which place it is? Edited July 17, 2008 by Cap'n Refsmmat stop advertising yourself please
hermanntrude Posted July 17, 2008 Author Posted July 17, 2008 i already told you. if you're a scientist, latitude and longitude shouldn't be too hard to figure out
John Cuthber Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Part of being a scientist is clear communication. Where were you?
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=49%C2%B040%27N+55%C2%B015%27W&ie=UTF8&ll=49.667628,-55.239258&spn=21.375636,43.725586&z=5&iwloc=addr
hermanntrude Posted July 17, 2008 Author Posted July 17, 2008 just teasing. This is the general discussions section so i don't have to be all up-tight and proper. Cap'n, you got it right on the nubbin. Just off of north island twillingate, which is itself off of newfoundland, which is part of Canada.
iNow Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 A few years down the road, you'll be telling your kids about your trip and they'll ask, "Daddy, what's an iceburg?" Beautiful shots. I'm sure you had fun, and I am somewhat envious of your ability to take such a trip.
hermanntrude Posted July 18, 2008 Author Posted July 18, 2008 actually I live here. My 10 month old baby girl was with us in the boat and it rocked her to sleep. We'll probably do it again and again
