Dave Posted April 18, 2004 Posted April 18, 2004 If I'm not very much mistaken, that's the formula for the solution to a differential equation using an integrating factor. The integral is very general, there's no specific way of solving it.

dryan Posted April 24, 2004 Posted April 24, 2004 I'm not sure, I've only taken Calc I, so I've only done a few differential equations, (only separable ones). You have a lot of variables in there, but the only way I would know how to do it is integration by parts, u=x^a and dv=e^... but that wouldn't help much. I'm not sure you're two equations match, unless you've integrated one of the parts... You had two integrals before?
