that seems a bit too general to me.

 

is there any relation b/t the VAR's of P(x) and y1(x)?

If I'm not very much mistaken, that's the formula for the solution to a differential equation using an integrating factor. The integral is very general, there's no specific way of solving it.

am extremely sorry not mention the functions P(x) & y1(x)

 

the final equation after substitution of P&y1 is

 

f(x)=integral[x^a*e^(-b/x)/(Ax+B)^2]

 

you are right dave i was solving a differential equation and i am stuck here at the integration.

I'm not sure, I've only taken Calc I, so I've only done a few differential equations, (only separable ones).

 

You have a lot of variables in there, but the only way I would know how to do it is integration by parts, u=x^a and dv=e^... but that wouldn't help much.

I'm not sure you're two equations match, unless you've integrated one of the parts... You had two integrals before?
