Heroin use does not (in and of itself) increase the risk for AIDS, rather it is the IV drug use with dirty needles that is the problem.

yeah, its sharing needles that increases the chance of aids. it doesn't depend on what you are using the needles to inject. it could be anything from heroin (there is no e on the end, if there is then it is a female hero rather than a drug, they're pretty hard to inject as they don't fit through the needles) to a vaccination for measles.

 

you don't increase your chances of getting aids if you take heroin by smoking it(which a number of heroin users do) as you are not going to be exposed to infected materials.

I'm pretty sure that "using" heroines would increase your chance of aids, especially if you don't use a condom.
