mk_2007 Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 Hi! I was wonderng if anyone knows why its useful to include uncut DNA in an electrophoresis when analysing the cut DNA restriction fragments?
Psycho Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 As otherwise you won't know if the Cut DNA has actually been cut up or is just the normal DNA, you can work it out of course with markers but it is easier just to have two bands form.

Ready your book kid!
Tekmo Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 That's a perfectly legitimate question that I myself asked while working in the lab.
CharonY Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Shouldn't one ask the question before one is doing that?
