i need a charger circuit to charge my capacitors there rated to about 420 volts

any diagrams of how to build one would be best and i need it to work on 9 volt batteries so any diagrams of where i could nick one from would be great.

use a camera flash charger and capacitor, I did a single stage coil a few weeks ago with a Hydrogen Spark-gap trigger and threw a 120 gram screwdriver 8 foot across a room :D

the cap was 350v @ 560mfd.

no, it`s marked up `mfd` but it does mean Micro Farad, yes.

not ALL capacitors use that symbol to state their value.

Yeah but it's misleading. :P Although from the context one might guess it was microfarads, as with millifarads at that voltage the screwdriver would've most likely vaporized entirely. :)

in Electronics it`s not misleading though, it`s used all the time and is a perfectly valid acronym for micro farads.

"Values of capacitors are usually specified in range of Farads (F), microfarads (μF or MFD), nanofarads (nF), or picofarads (pF), as one, millionths, billionths or trillionths of a farad.[2] The picofarad is sometimes comically called a "puff", as in "a ten puff capacitor". Since the Greek letter μ caused printing difficulties, the notation uF (or MFD) is often to be found as a substitute for μF in the electronics literature."

this is a topic i can help with however theres a few hv photoflash cap chargers you can make to help charge those photoflash caps to use for this but at the moment im still in my experimental stages and testing on the latest ones but they are very advanced or maybe technicle to biuld and involves chargeing hv photoflash capcitors via one wire. its a long story.
