jordan Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 What story? Is this the one about the guy who claims he is form the future?
Dave Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 http://www.johntitor.com/ I'm dubious to say the least - quite rightly to be fair. If someone came along and told me they were from the future I'd probably just think they were a nutter.
Dave Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 Interestingly, he says that the US is in the middle of a civil war in 2005, which given the current state in Iraq and the total political mess it's causing I can actually see happening.
YT2095 Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 he`s not worth listening to! and shouldn`t be saying ANY of this! if you were from the future would you, would it be allowed? he`s militarty, it`s not allowed!
Phi for All Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 From the little I have read about some of his predictions, or rather what he claims is true 30 years from now, he has a real grasp of logical occurance. He predicts the office of President of the United States will be split into five people representing different regions and areas of responsibility. I can tell you now, if Bush is re-elected and allows big business to rape this country for another four years, this is exactly the kind of reform that might be called for (they took the power out of the governor's office in the state of Texas after the office had been abused and misused. By the time GB Jr was governor, he didn't even have a say in his own state budget. Being the governor of Texas was a figurehead position). Since the last election in the US was so close, perhaps this would have been an easy call for this so-called time-traveler to make. I can't believe even now after plunging this country into the worst debt its ever seen & destroying economic & environmental reforms it has taken years to build, the American public still seems to be split down the middle about who to vote for.
Phi for All Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 Why do we have this penchant for wanting to believe a guy like this could be for real, but our butt puckers when we listen to his predictions? I'm with YT2095, don't give him the time of day or Nostradamus will rise from the dead.
YT2095 Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 everything he says is to be ignored! he has NO AUTHORITY to say such things!! events will take their own course naturaly he`s not to be listened to at all!
Phi for All Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 Hey, wait a minute! I get it now. YOU'RE HIS BOSS, AREN'T YOU!?!? You & Kitty were sent from the year 2095 to rewrite HIS history! I figured it out! Just a second, my doorbell is ringing....
Tesseract Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 Wow that guy must have been crazy. What a waste of time. How is time travel possible anyway.
Tesseract Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 What the hell microsingularities, string theory,2036.Hmm maybe he was a scientist that was hit in the head and became insane.
atinymonkey Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 Does anyone believe this story? I don't not believe his story. I like his story. It's a good story.
Tesseract Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 What, I don't not...? You learn English speak should. Just joking it makes sense...
Lance Posted May 5, 2004 Posted May 5, 2004 To be honest I admire the people who make the good hoaxes. It’s kind of funny that people believe him... The picture of the bent laser beam cracks me up.
NSX Posted May 5, 2004 Posted May 5, 2004 heh I thought i already brought this up? http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=41322#post41322
Sayonara Posted May 5, 2004 Posted May 5, 2004 Yes we did. There's nothing in his story to make me believe that he might be from the future, and plenty of narrative omissions and errors to suggest he isn't.
Tesseract Posted May 5, 2004 Posted May 5, 2004 Who would spend so much time needed as to create an elaborate illusion like he did?
Sayonara Posted May 5, 2004 Posted May 5, 2004 Neither answering nor failing to answer that question are evidence either way. Out of interest though, I'm sure there are plenty of similar elaborate hoaxes - his just had more appeal and/or gained more notoriety. Intensive google searches will result in you finding lots of similar claims, I suspect.
blike Posted May 5, 2004 Posted May 5, 2004 Interestingly, he says that the US is in the middle of a civil war in 2005, which given the current state in Iraq and the total political mess it's causing I can actually see happening.Oh don't mind the democrats, they've always invented reasons to hate a republican president.
-Demosthenes- Posted May 5, 2004 Posted May 5, 2004 I guess we will know at the end of 2005, won't we? If there is a Civil War, then maybe he's really from the future. But of course I don't believe it, it's very interesting though. What I'm curious about is why is YT's so frantic that we shouldn't read John Titor. He says that he was bor in 1998, so, assuming he is from the future, he's about 6 now, and he should talk to him and ask him! Just kidding.

I saw your mom in your kitchen at 8pm tomorrow evening before I came back here to tell you.
-Demosthenes- Posted May 5, 2004 Posted May 5, 2004 I guess I should come clean. Yes I am TimeTravel_0. I was hoping to put this mystery to rest and stop all this madness you people have gone through to try to prove or disprove my existence. My real name is Samson Rodriguez. It all started as an elaborate hoax that me and my friends thought up. I am only in college and would like to apoligize to all of you who have defended me as a real person. My "time machine" was nothing more then a few junk items we found in a trash dump where we found all our supplies for the hoax. Again I apoligize for all the work you have put into this and thank you again. Signing off one last time, John Titor From: timetravelinstitute.com Is it real? And Sayanora, what are you talking about?
jordan Posted May 5, 2004 Posted May 5, 2004 And Sayanora, what are you talking about? Shoud your mom be anywhere near the kitchen at about 8 pm tomorrow, Saya is in fact from the future. It is conclusive proof.
