Prashan_punk Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 the intensity of magnetic field at a point is defined as the force experienced by a unit north pole placed at that point . WHat does unit north pole mean ???
Klaynos Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 A north magnetic poll which is defined to have a value of 1 unit.
Prashan_punk Posted December 18, 2008 Author Posted December 18, 2008 does it mean the north magnetic pole of a magnet of +1 strength?
swansont Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 does it mean the north magnetic pole of a magnet of +1 strength? Yes.
Prashan_punk Posted December 18, 2008 Author Posted December 18, 2008 thanks guys...but i have trouble understandin the expression for the magnetic field intensity i.e B = F/m where 'B' is magnetic field intensity, F is force experienced by The unit pole and 'm' is the strength of another magnet... just confused how this relation came
