Skye Posted May 8, 2004 Posted May 8, 2004 What you need is the CRC handbook for chemistry and physics, your school might have it. Here's some more links anyway. http://www.liv.ac.uk/Chemistry/Links/links.html
Guest boardsportsrule Posted May 8, 2004 Posted May 8, 2004 thanks, im goin thru those links now! im on a trip thats why i need this info.. maybe i can give you guys the properties i know and something will pop into your head..i already identified one as rubbing alcohol(isopropyl alcohol) because many of their properties match up...but now i got one that: boils at 92C(approx...not 100%, lab stuff blows at my school) freezes at -10C does not burn slightly soluble with salt..(3 grains dissolved, but when i added .2Grams more, none dissolved... it is clear, but a tiny pinkish tint(teacher said this has popped up in many samples, and he is working on identifying why..) im lookin into possiblilities, but if u guys know of any PLEASE lemme know!btw: this is something commonly used in highschool labs...nothing crazy...
