alext87 Posted May 8, 2004 Author Posted May 8, 2004 So why do they need one if they do not have sex for pleasure?
Radical Edward Posted May 8, 2004 Posted May 8, 2004 because if they have sex and find it pleasurable, they are more likely to do it. those that have sex more breed more and their genes spread more. Other animals are stimulated into ovulation by sex, for example lionesses ovulate after many hours of sex - one male was noted to have sex once every 20 minutes or so for about 50 hours.
Radical Edward Posted May 8, 2004 Posted May 8, 2004 because it is not evolutionarily benificial for them, since they signal when they are ready for ovulation, unlike humans, who do not. only a few animals have sex when it is not time for ovulation. humans, dolphins and a few of the great apes come to mind.
alext87 Posted May 8, 2004 Author Posted May 8, 2004 How does a pig orgasm for over an hour? Why do baboons and horses masterbate

admiral_ju00 Posted May 9, 2004 Posted May 9, 2004 How does a pig orgasm for over an hour? Why do baboons and horses masterbate don't know about specifics nor don't care - not my field of interest or study, dunno jack about pigs though nor do i want to speculate but, from an anthropological point of veiw, maybe the horses do it to relieve stress and tension and a way to calm themselfs down? many greather apes do something to relieve strees, usually the way monkeys and apes do it is by brushing and combing fur of the other, but bonobo's are an exception. they use sex and sexual intercourse to releave such tension, they also engage in sexual games, etc.
AzurePhoenix Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 Bonobos ar the ultimate love monkeys (I know, not monkeys) everyone screws everyone else! No Taboos!!
