Martin Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 http://www.slac.stanford.edu/spires/topcites/2008/annual.shtml This list is informative about the research trends in high energy physics. Emphasis shifts from year to year. These are the 50 papers which during 2008 got the most citations, most references in other research publications. Papers in hot research fields tend to garner a lot of citations, so the list is a good way to identify active topics. It is especially interesting to sift out the RECENT papers on the list. What papers written in the past 4 or 5 years have attracted a lot of citations? I have to go out, but will check this as soon as I have time. Just saw it.
