Hey, I can't remember one quote from the movie "2001 a space odyssey". I'm hoping you guys can help me out.

I think the person who says it is Dave. It goes something like "So many colors!" or "my god! the colors are everywhere!"

it might have been during the ending scene where things stop making sense. Please help - its been bugging me for so long lol. What is the exact quote and who is it by?

The quote is actually from 2010. In typical movie fashion the story convinces you that it's a line from 2001, but it actually isn't, it's just implied.

I found that movie incredibly boring; i could barely finish watching it...what exactly happened in the end????

You need to read the book really.

How funny... I was getting ready to type exactly that. It helps to read the others in the series, too. A.C.Clarke was a phenomenal writer.

"My god, its full of stars." the endings not supposed to make sense really, its supposed to be as enigmatic as possible.

Just to be clear, as I said above, that phrase is not from "2001: A Space Odyssey", directed by Stanley Kubrick, which came out in 1968. It's from "2010: The Year We Make Contact", directed by Peter Hyams, which came out in 1984.

It's kinda like the way Lucas appended "Episode IV: A New Hope" to the wall crawl at the beginning of Star Wars after Empire came out. Memory is a funny thing.

I disagree, the ending make sense to me. (But I had read the book first, which probably helped.)
