where is quartz normally found, I have some property that is a big gulley and is coverd in granite and in the middle of this gulley theirs a stream , would it be posable to find quartz their and if so where would be a good placve to start looking?

You can usually find quartz in the centre of lumps of granite, from what I remember of my rather brief geology

Veins of quartz are commonly found in slate.
