ltayebi Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 solubility of chloroform in water is 0.8gr in 100ml water at the temp of 20C. Does anyone know what is its solubility at 6C or any temp around? Thanks, Lobat
Kaeroll Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 It'll likely be lower. You're not really going to have much luck mixing chloroform and water in any case (hence its use as an extractant)
nitric Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 it would be not of much difference since the CCl3H is barely soluble(trust me)in each other, though common reasoning would point to the solubility being lower as the temperature gets lower
