Cap'n Refsmmat Posted May 20, 2004 Share Posted May 20, 2004 The tip. Still, basically, heat rises (through your fluid). It's convection (sort of). I think they do use argon, or sometimes other inert gases. Otherwise the heat could only be transferred through radiation, and radiation doesn't rise.
