ErintheHokie Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 Hello. I am doing a mock research proposal to study the advance and retreat of ice on Greenland and Antarctica. For this proposal, I have to create a budget. Hypothetically, I would need to purchase some ice-penetrating radar equipment. Does anyone have ANY idea how much these things cost? Thanks a lot.
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 Take a look at this: http://www.icefield.yk.ca/www/products/radar/radar.htm
lm_bsi Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 We worked with Icefield's radar transmitter and we have developed an operational radar system to measure glacier thickness. If you are still looking for info, please post. In the meantime you can check this link.
