Hello Everyone, I'm currently in need of a mentor/chemist to help me formulate a skin care cream for acne. However, I do not have any experience in compounding this is all new to me. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Umm...

Rules / regulations for pharmaceutical products are incredibly strict.

I would suggest that you study the rules and regulations so that you can find out what you can, and what you cannot do for making that cream. Be prepared to spend a lot of time on reading the regulations - these are books, not pages full of info.

You can use the formulation of other creams to get an idea (and you can use the same ones if they are not patented and if you can find out the formula in the first place, which is unlikely). But whatever you do, you won't be able to put your cream on the market without a lot of testing.

So, you probably need more than just 1 person to help... and you'll need a couple of years of testing.

I'm not sure if you realize the magnitude of your project here.

Thanks for your response but I have already done my research on rules / regulations and I do understand the magnitude of my project. I have all my required ingredients that I intent to use in my acne cream and have been using it on my own skin. I'm just in need of a mentor who can help me put the cream together in the right formulation. I have been using this cream for about 3 months now and my acne has cleared up tremendously.

If your idea is novel then patent it and sell the rights one of the cosmetics companies; get them to do the work.

If not then it's never going to be worth the trouble.
