i have some data which is not normally distributed as the mean is not equal to the median however it is very close. I need produce a grpah in excel which demonstrates the population by the area underneath the graph like a normal distribution graph. How would i do this?

if you only have a few data points, just use a histogram. If you have a lot of data points you could use a scatter graph and add a smoothed average trendline. Excel also has a number of statistical functions, at least one of which will probably allow you actually calculate the area under the graph.
