pjl83 Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Hi guys. I'm new here. I've had a good look through the forums and it seems that there are lots on here that really know their stuff. I am embarking on a small project myself. It's an idea that I've had and I would like to develop a prototype as soon as I find all of the neccesary components. I won't go into detail too much yet, but basically I need to find the tiniest rechargable battery/cell that I can. It must be capable of keeping an LED lit for several hours. What's your thoughts. Thanks, Pjl83
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Would one of these do the trick? http://shopping.microbattery.com/s.nl/sc.2/category.910/.f The site claims they're around 5mm wide. You'd have to find the current draw at the given voltage to see if your LED could stay lit (but I'm guessing most LEDs will take very little power), but I doubt you'll find many commercially available batteries smaller than those.
pjl83 Posted May 3, 2009 Author Posted May 3, 2009 thanks, they look good. I'm just contacting the site now to find a charger to match.
