codefreek Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 (edited) Hello everyone, i am sorry if this is the wrong section to ask but is there anyone who know where i could find medical audiobooks ? nice if it's for free but can pay for it. I have googled for a while now and all the ones i find are old. Text books are fine to thank you in advance. CF. PS: if i can get good medical websites as well that would be great (point me to the right direction) Edited May 6, 2009 by codefreek
GDG Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 You can get a great number of terrific podcasts on medical topics. Go to the podcast section in iTunes, and search for whatever interests you. Many of the major science journals have their own weekly (or less than weekly) podcasts: Science Nature (see also Nature's ChemPod and NeuroPod) Nature Neurology (NeuroPod) The Lancet Microbiology Bytes The Brain Science Podcast Scientific American All in the Mind (Radio National Australia) In addition, many universities now post lectures (and some -- entire classes): Yale Johns Hopkins Harvard Stanford St. Scholastica (in iTunes: check out Dr. C's lectures on physiology) And then there's these -- (not always medicine, but always interesting): New York Academy of Sciences (Science & the City) Big Ideas The Commonwealth Club RadioLab I'm sure I must have forgotton a few... 1
sharetolearn Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Concerning free online lectures... if you want to access them all in one place, go to http://www.academicearth.org - recently launched site, it has all of those lectures up, ranging from history and economics to anatomy and biology 1
GDG Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Here's a few more podcasts (I knew I'd forgotten some...): Cell Futures in Biotech Hmmmm... Krulwich on Science Science Friday Whitehead Institute Enjoy!
