norefillsx Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 I am a student wanting to get involved into Physics earlier then what my school offers, can anyone teach me some Basic physics?
CaptainPanic Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 There are many fields/branches within the field of physics. You might want to specify at least a particular field. But even if you ask for "information about electromagnetism", you'll just get the wikipedia link or the title of a book... because it's too much to explain it here. It's better to ask a specific question.
norefillsx Posted June 16, 2009 Author Posted June 16, 2009 Ok then, can someone teach me basic Movement physics? like acceleration and such
ydoaPs Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 What level of mathematics are you at? Have you studied Calculus at all? Try looking at http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Classical_Mechanics and come back with questions. Your request is still too broad.
cameron marical Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 I have the same predicament as you, I just read alot of wikepedia, went to the library often, and read alot here. You pick quite a bit up, and find out what you need to learn and just learn it. But thats just me, you may be different.
norefillsx Posted June 16, 2009 Author Posted June 16, 2009 I have not studied calc, but i am a quick learner and I can pretty much learn anything taught to me. Id be happy to learn calc, seems fun
JPGreco Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Its kind of hard to teach physics over the net. What you need to do is find formulas and explanations of what they are used for. Formulas for a lot of introductory physics. Now you have to find something that explains when to use them. http://www.collegeboard.com/prod_downloads/ap/students/physics/info_equation_tables_2002.pdf After you know how use them or at least are looking for questions, go to: http://www.nysedregents.org/testing/scire/regentphys.html This is the past few years of the NYS Regents Exams. Merged post follows: Consecutive posts mergedI may actually be taking a lot of physics soon, I'm thinking about going back to school to be a physics teacher
DJBruce Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Good luck on your studies, here is a link that was previously posted by someone, I applogize for not remebering who, previously. Another link that is somewhat useful is Hyper Physics.
