You: "Mr. Smith did it." Lawyer: "Had you ever met Mr. Smith before that day?" You: "Mr. Smith did it." Lawyer: "What clothes was the assailant wearing that day?" You: "Mr. Smith did it." Lawyer: "What time was it?" You: "Mr. Smith did it." Lawyer: "What street were you on?" You: "Mr. Smith did it." Do you see how such a witness would probably be completely dismissed by jurors?
