okay i need help with understanding how the earth tilts to the sun during diffrent seasons. If the earth is at a constant tilt of 23.5% in the same direction how can it be tilted away from the sun in the winter but point towards it on the summer? I tried using my pencil as a visual but even though i spin it in circular motion it dosent change the tilt from one side to another.

All help appreciated greatly

Good link, couldn't explain it better. Or, what else could be done is this, the typical experiment:

1.Get a globe and a flashlight.

2.The globe already has a tilt, making it easier to understand what is going on.

3.Put the flashlight on a chair and switch it on and point it towards the globe.

4. You can see what the pictures are showing you with that set up.
