Mr Rayon Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 A car travelling with a constant speed of 80 km/h passes a stationary motorcyle policeman. The policeman sets off in pursuit, accelerating to 80 km/h in 10.0 s and reaching a constant speed of 100km/h after a further 5.0 s. At what time will the policeman catch up with the car? Any help for the above problem will be appreciated!
ydoaPs Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 How have you tried to solve it? Show us your attempts. Did you draw a picture?
J.C.MacSwell Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 After the first 10 seconds how far will they be apart? After 15 seconds how far will they be apart?
gokul.er137 Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 In 15 seconds how much of a distance does the police dude cover? In the same 15 seconds, how much of a distance does the car cover? That should be easy now
