ExtraSense Posted June 11, 2004 Posted June 11, 2004 It appears that Bonneville area has thermal water sources. This might explain the signs of life, which are observed there. Here is the picture by Spirit, that apparently shows thin string of water, running from the pipe /someone have piped the spring / It is to the left of the middle of the picture. The water makes a perfect parabolae, as it falls to the ground - as it should due to the Mars gravity. ES
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted June 11, 2004 Posted June 11, 2004 It shouldn't make a parabola-there's an atmosphere to prevent that. It would spread out like water on Earth, making it un-perfect.

I do not think so: the density of atmosphere is low compared to Earth, and even here the shape is close to parabola, if the altitude drop is relatively small. ES
ExtraSense Posted June 12, 2004 Author Posted June 12, 2004 Can't you use a bigger picture? What about this one ?
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted June 12, 2004 Posted June 12, 2004 Grrrrrr... IT'S SMALLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ah, well, I really don't care. It's stupid anyways.
ExtraSense Posted June 12, 2004 Author Posted June 12, 2004 The size of picture is smaller, the scale is four times better.
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted June 12, 2004 Posted June 12, 2004 I still don't see anything in it. Except maybe your ridiculous single brain cell.

ExtraSense Posted June 12, 2004 Author Posted June 12, 2004 This proves nothing, nor does it add to science. But where do you find these pictures? Really? A pipe on Mars with the running water proves that: (a) there is running water on Mars (b) there is civilization on Mars © there is life on Mars It might be the thermal water, or a simple spring ... This picture is from Mars from the rover Spirit ES

Tesseract Posted June 12, 2004 Posted June 12, 2004 Did you see snow? did anyone say it was made in antarctica???
ExtraSense Posted June 12, 2004 Author Posted June 12, 2004 Whats that got to do with anything? Do you believe in snow on Mars?
Tesseract Posted June 12, 2004 Posted June 12, 2004 Do you believe in snow on Mars? I dont think it snows in antarctica, too cold.Permafrost.But this could have been made somewhere in a rocky zone, I dont know Arizona...
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted June 12, 2004 Posted June 12, 2004 You sure it's snow? Or maybe just something shiny?
Tesseract Posted June 12, 2004 Posted June 12, 2004 You sure it's snow? Or maybe just something shiny? What are you talking about?
ExtraSense Posted June 12, 2004 Author Posted June 12, 2004 You sure it's snow? Or maybe just something shiny? Looks like a snow to me. Look how it is gently curved under the long rock
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted June 12, 2004 Posted June 12, 2004 Wait, that's not snow. Certainly doesn't look like it.
ExtraSense Posted June 12, 2004 Author Posted June 12, 2004 Wait, that's not snow. Certainly doesn't look like it. Well, there are two options I can imagine: 1. it is H2O snow 2. it is CO2 snow It is SNOW either way. ES
